We often work on large-scale infrastructure projects and multiple issues within complex processes. Such tasks highlight numerous challenges and contain different components at different scales: landscape, urban development, the mobility network, the architecture of engineering structures, the infrastructure itself, from the regional scale over urban design and master planning to detailed design. As a design researcher, you love to unravel complex issues. You use design research to analyse the functioning of the various systems and networks and to draw up an integrated area development, with coherence between the various subcomponents and phases.
